Linking tasks & organizing with projects

Connect related work across systems, and tag projects with an organizational priority.

Links

A task can be linked to another with a typed relationship — blocks, relates to, or duplicates — and this works across systems, so an Azure DevOps bug can block a Monday.com item. A circular chain of blocks links is refused right at creation, so you can't accidentally build a loop nothing can escape.

A task blocked by unfinished work is scored down (see How prioritization works) rather than removed from the list — the point is to surface that it's stuck, not to hide it.

Projects

Projects group tasks across systems into one label — useful when the same initiative spans an Azure DevOps board, a Jira project, and a handful of manual tasks. Each project can be tagged with an organizational priority, which carries its own weight and feeds the "org priority" alignment factor directly into the ranking.
